DS lite won't connect to Wifi

$

So on my ds lite i go to Nintendo wifi setup and go through all the things, and when I put in my WEP key for my wifi, without even seemingly trying to connect, it Says 'These settings are invalid. confirm the information and try again. For help, visit support.nintendo.com'

Whats wrong? What should I do?

Please and thank you,

So i have recieved Error Code 001-0804 saying my 3DS cannot connect to the server. The thing is, is that ive connected to this access point (at my house) all the time and my internet connection has always worked fine. But now it says i cant connect to the server, so i cant see if my friends are online, i cant connect through animal crossing or anything. Ive tried creating a new connection but its doing the same thing. How do i fix this????

*Also i noticed that up in the left corner where it tells you the connection it only says Enabled. Not Internet in Blue like it should. I try connecting to my wifi and it will go blue then when its connecting to the internet it will go back to Enabled in beige.

i get that error when i manually set up the ssid and security code.

if i do auto find the wifi, it keep saying unable to use current settings when nothing is set on any of the settings.

not sure what is going on because 3ds connects fine.

Edit: Fixed it on my own.... Had to go to adance then connection 4, not sure why i had to since 3ds doesn't have to do that.

Hi, I'm trying to connect my DSI XL to the internet so I can get a mystery gift and my wifi is in the "advanced setup" in the internet connections part of system settings, and the WFC settings don't allow you to connect to an advanced wifi connection, can I fix this? 2ds connected to internet, cant purchase things?

I couldn't be more upset right now.  I just purchased a 2ds and I'm connected to my wifi (which is WPA) and the connection test is just fine.  I tried to add funds this morning and it gave me an error (which I looked up) that said I wasn't connected right? So I changed my settings to WEP and it still wouldnt let me add funds, then my parents made me change it back to WPA. It let me download demos last night but when I try to add funds it gives me an error.  Why does it say it's connected if it's not going to let me purchase things? How can I fix this? I don't want a ds if I can't even use the internet.. really frustating.. is it the credit card? orrrr what =(

Trouble connecting to pokemon-gl, Plz help.

Hi,

I have been trying to log into my account on pokemon-gl since 5:30 this morning. My problem is my original password did not seem to be working so i figured I would try to reset it. Well after receiving the password reset link via email from tech@pokemonsupport and filling out the application for a reset, all I got was the exact same link sent to my email 3 more times followed by numerous 15 minute lock out sessions. I would just like someone to shed some light on this issue and help me figure out what is going on? I have done the User name recovery as well and it does correspond to my email. But every time I try to reset the password on my account it just keeps sending me the same password recovery link over and over or the webpage does nothing at all. I wish there was a number I could call and talk to somebody as I have really tried my best to follow all the steps and now feel like I am left only to get an answer from a breathing human being. If anybody has any info or advice on how to contact somebody from the pokemon-gl community than can help me that would be greatly appreciated.

Thx for reading.

Best Regards.

F5D7230-4
Question:  Ok, I got a new router a couple weeks ago and it works just fine for my laptop. But I can't go on Wi-Fi with my DS. I keep getting error code 52200
Resolution: Disable “Protected mode” on the router. You may need to turn off the firewall as well(if it has one). If it still does not work, I would try a manual connection.

Question:  I keep getting 52000 whenever I try to connect my DS to the Wi-Fi. I couldn’t find any firewall to turn off. I’m sure I had it working before but now it doesn’t.
Resolution: The router has something called “Frameburst” you will need to disable. Also you will need to setup a manual connection on the DS.

F5D7230-4 v3000
Question:  My Nintendo DSi was able to find this router through connection slots 1-3 when searching for an access point but I get error code 052100-2
Resolution: Set up manual connection, I had to use a different DNS server as primary and the default gateway as the secondary DNS, but this may be different for you. Connection test successful, update was successful.

F5D7234-4 v1
Question:  I used it for a few months to play The Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass, Mario Kart Wii, and my other Wi-Fi compatible games for the Wii and the DS.  Recently I found out how to access my routers security settings and I secured it.  I input all the necessary information into my DS and my Wii (and yes I used WEP).  When I test connection I get a successful test message but when I try to play games online the connection always fails on both systems.  However, I am able to use the internet channel, and all other internet reliant channels on the Wii.  I've tried restoring my router to factory default settings (settings that originally worked for both systems) and even completely disabling firewall settings on my router and computer.  I've also tried power cycling the router and changing the channel to 1, and 11.  Any suggestions?
Resolution: I managed to fix the problem.  I reset both my modem and my router and set them up again and now it works fine.  I realized afterwards that it was the connection type listed under my routers settings.  I have a PPoE connection but if I set my router to these settings neither the Wii nor the DS can connect for online games.  Instead I simply set my connection type to Dynamic in my routers settings and it works fine now.

F5D7234-4
Question:  My DSI connects to my wireless router and I use the web browser without a problem but every time I try and use the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection to play a game, it always gives me an error message saying that there is no compatible access point in the range.
Resolution: (specific to error message, no compatible access points in range): The reason you are getting this error message is because your wireless router is in an encryption other than WEP encryption. I recommend changing your encryption to WEP from WPA. DS games do not work with WPA security.

F5D8230-4 V2000
Question:  My DS won’t connect and neither will my sister’s DS Lite. The error code is 52000. We aren’t using any security if that matters, I saw how some of the errors are caused by that.
Resolution: In the router page that has the Channel and SSID of the router, you will find something called ACK mode. Turn this off. If there is something there called “protected mode,” turn that of as well. Once those are disabled it should connect.

Can connect to web, But issues playing with others

I have a belkin router (F7D2301), I can get my 3ds to connect to the web browser, update things, etc. However if I try to play with others, If I join their game I won't be able to, and if they try to join mine we seem to get the same issue regardless who trys. Example; Animal crossing if I try to join someones game comes up with "Error: 018-0512". IP on it is manually entered & it is in the DMZ but has made no difference, Firewall is off, PNP is on, Protected mode is off, connection mode is b&g&n, channel is 11/7..
If anyone may have any suggestions they'd be much appreciated!

I have searched everywhere for this error, but it seems like there isnt much, and definately nothing helpful. I can connect to my internet just fine, I can enter the Wi-Fi club, I can even see my friend in the room and their trade request. But right when I accept it, my DS blanks and I lose connection. Can someone help? It is extremely frustrating

Nintendo Internet and E Shop.

I am aware that there have been issues and Nintendo did shut down their network until 4am Est. It is currently 1:20 pm Est and nothing has changed. I am still having issues connecting to the internet with my game, getting on E shop, as well as updating my Nintendo 2ds, I am able to browse the internet alone though. I do not know if these issues have been fully corrected, but I need to know how to get the network connection to work or else I will need a replacement DS. I know for a fact that my Wifi works and is not the problem because  I have an IPad, MacBook, and about three other computers that belong to my family, that work on the wifi connection. I would appreciate an answer soon... Thank you.

3DS XL inter net issue... part of it is working but not all of it? - after update issue

I finally got around to updating my 3ds xl over the weekend, busy few weeks with the holiday, and now the inter net on it won't work!
I first noticed this because my Netflix will not opne because of unstable inter net connection... So, I did a connection test, and all went well... but anyways here is what is happening and what I have done so far.

Router has not been touched, every setting is still the same and has been for over a year.

3DS XL had no problems until after update.

No other device on router having problems (PS3. xBox360, Laptops, Smartphones, etc.)

  • No parental control settings... I'm 22 and no kids... I don't need them set up. So nothing in the way of connections
    • Just to see if they will change anything, I have turned them on and tried things... nothing
  • Nintendo eShop IS working for me AND I can download demo's and what not successfully
  • I can see friends online and I'm online
  • Shows connection to router and passes a connection test
  • Web Browser will open but will not load pages, says "Communication Error"
  • Netflix will not work, keeps getting an error before loading to open
    • I have tried uninstalling and re-installing... nothing works
    • EDIT 1/1/14 I have been checking it again and again since Sunday to Wednesday since the error says "try again" ... Nothing Still...
  • Pokemon X partically works online?
    • Can connect and see "passerby's" but all friends show offline when they show playing on 3DS friend screen
    • Cannot access the gobal trade system
    • Have not tried battle or sending 'o-powers'
  • Animal Crossing New Leaf ... one part online and nothing else?
    • Will allow online connection to download the limited items at post office
      • Saturday downloaded tree stump for december and today, wedensday, I could download the sunrise lamp
    • Cannot update dream suite, says unstable connection.

Ok, so I am having trouble with Netflix, Pokemon X, and Animal Crossing but I really haven't tested much else.
... So... Any ideas?

Nintendo 3DS won't connect to my local wi-fi for some reason. Error code 006-1101.

Ok, so here's the issue, my 3DS won't connect to my house's wi-fi, I don't really know why. I can connect everything else: my PC, laptop, phone, Wii, but my 3DS has a REALLY long connection test (half a minute long, that's a LOT.), then gives me the error code 003-1101.

It says it could be the access point's security may have been entered incorrectly. It's a WPA-PSK(TKIP) type, I did enter the password right, so that's probably not it.

Then it says it's the network or enviroment but I have my laptop connected and it has no issues whatsoever. So that's out too.

I think it could be the router's connection limit, but I have this same issue even when alone in the house. So again that's not it.

I tried to change and reset my router/modem's settings and then change them to something my 3DS could handle/take out the connection limit, but I had no luck. don't know much of that stuff, so I could only reset the access point's name and password by pressing some well-hidden button, but I couldn''t change anything because I need to connect to an IP from my browser, then enter some username and password and I can't guess them. And I don't want to call the company yet since they're jerks and don't really want to help most of the time.

I really want to know how to fix this because I've been trying to play Animal Crossing New Leaf with some friends and I can't, eternally waiting for the moment to connect.

Oh some technical data:

Modem model: SGB901

Security type: WPA-PSK(TKIP)

Modem IP: 192.168.100.1 (To change the settings, it won't work for you if you're not connected to my access point but whatever.)

Red colored regular 3DS, Updated to Ver. 7.1.0-14U, doesn't have any questionable material.

It can connect to other access points, just not this one.

Thanks in advance!

Internet security settings are "not supported"

A few weeks ago my mom had to call our internet provider (AT&T) to reset our internet's password so she could connect her new ipad to the internet. As soon as she did this, I deleted my old connection settings and entered in the new settings and everything was well. My 3DS XL connected and worked with our internet, and today I turned it on to do some wonder trading in pokemon only to discover that my internet wouldn't connect. I've dealt with this before, and usually refreshing the router will fix it, but after three tries and still nothing, I deleted the old settings and tried to reconnect my 3DS to the internet. Our internet address doesn't even show up anymore and this keeps popping up, "The access point's security settings are nt supported by the Nintendo DS. For help, visit support.nintendo.com." I've looked all over and still can't find anything that helps. I've tried manually putting everything in, but still no luck. I know it's not the router since everything else connects to it except my DS.

3DS connection is spotty. A little help?

Hello, I'm not sure anyone will be able to help with this particular issue, but I'm getting desperate enough that any sort of insight will do.

You see, I'm having connection issues with my 3DS to the internet that I haven't had in the past. The connection will be at three bars for a few minutes, drop out completely, and then return a minute or so later. As you can imagine this is frustrating because of how it hinders online play. If my 3DS connection drops for even a second, I'm disconnected from the multiplayer game for good.

The error code message I'm recieving tells me that I should move closer to the access point or clear it of obstructions, and after checking to make sure it was unobstructed and playing the the same room as the access point, I continued to have the same problem. I'm thinking the issue is either in the 3DS systems or the modem, as we've replaced out old modem recently, but I know the issue isn't connecting to the internet. I can successfuly find and connect to the access point every time I try to test the internet settings on the 3DS. The number of bars on my 3DS also stays at 3 all around the house, but as I said, it drops to zero for seemingly no reason for a few seconds at a time. It's not just my 3DS either. I've testing playing Mariokart 7 on my siblings' 3DS systems and watching the internet bar on the home menu and I've had the same problem.

I've done my best to consider possible solutions and I've come up with the following:

1. A wifi extender - As I've said, I highly doubt this would be anything but a waste of money. The connection isn't weak (3 bars all around the house) but it is unstable.

2. Updating the firmware on the router - I'm not sure if this would be relevant to my problem, but the firmware on my router is slightly outdated. The release notes make no mention of issues or fixes with connecting to game consoles. Does anyone know if updating it would have any chance of helping?

The router I'm using is a Version 1 Cisco / Linksys E4200

3. A new modem - I'm not sure this would be relevant either. I can't pinpoint when I started having problems with the internet as I don't play online regularly, and I'm not sure if the modem could be a problem. The lights on the modem indicate a stable connection, and yet my 3DS frequently drops. No other devices in the house are having a similar issue.

The modem I'm using is a Motorola SURFboard cable modem, Model SB5101U

That being said, I'm afraid none that none of these are guarunteed to be helpful in solving my problem, and so I turn to the internet for extra help. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing the short, sudden drops in connection with the 3DS systems? With Animal Crossing: New Leaf right around the corner, it's really driving me up the wall.

Thank you in advance for any insight or assistance you can offer!

Steel Diver: Sub Wars - Error code 018-0512

$

0

I've gotten this error code the vast majority of times when attempting to connect online. Several dozen attempts, with only 2 of them resulting in successful games, and one of them ending in an error code in the pre-game lobby. At first I thought it had something do do with last night's maintenance, but that's obviously not the case now.

I live on campus, so there's nothing I can do about the routers - but this problem has never occured with any other 3DS or Wii U software (or PS3, if that means anything).

I'd really appreciate any help I can get, because I didn't spend 10 dollars to play the single player missions, and as it is there's nothing left for me to do with this game - all the subs left to unlock are online. So I'm kinda stuck with a dud game until this gets fixed.

3ds not connecting to only animal crossing new leaf internet

hello. i have tried connecting to the internet on acnl with many different friends/towns, none seem to work. it doesn't matter if they're coming in or going out. i have a brother who also uses the same internet for his acnl, and it works perfectly. i can connect to other towns locally (not using internet, but if they're right next to me). my 3ds connects to the internet browser, youtube, and even features on other games like global link or wonder trade on pokemon x. since there is no other internet problems with him or anything else i use for it, i'm not sure what the problem is. when i test the internet connection, it's fine. i'm pretty sure there's a problem with my 3ds or acnl game card, which has not been damaged at all. has anyone had a similar problem and can tell me a solution? i really, really want to connect with friends. thank you.
